Heart for Ipswich aims to link Christians from many churches to work together more closely to help meet the social and spiritual needs of the people of Ipswich, and to proclaim the good news of the Gospel.
It is run on a voluntary basis by a small team of lay people and supported by a Council of Reference containing leaders from a number of local churches.
Network Ipswich is one of several initiatives planned or supported over the longer term by Heart for Ipswich. These will be headlined in the Network Ipswich news pages.
Margaret Condick, speaking on behalf of Churches Together in Suffolk, says “We are delighted to hear of the work being done to set up Network Ipswich. For a long time we have hoped that all the churches, and the Christian communities and organisations, could reach out with united Christian witness to the people of Ipswich. This project will help this to happen.” |
