Good News Stand spreads its wings

Maritime2
Helpers from the Good News Stand, who are present at the Suffolk Show each year, are planning to take part in two other local events the Maritime Ipswich Festival and the Eye Show.
Maritime Ipswich Festival

This is taking place at the Waterfront, Ipswich between 10am and 6pm on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st August 2011.

Chairman, Charles Riddleston, says “Our Stand will comprise a market type stall at the Stoke Bridge end of the Waterfront.

If you think you'd like to join us for any part(s) of one or both days, please contact me. Realistically, your involvement is likely to be to mill around the area of our Stall, directing people to it, giving out some Christian literature and speaking to folk about Christ.”

Further details of the whole event can be found at: www.maritimeipswich.co.uk

This will be held at Goodrich Park, Palgrave, Eye, IP22 1AX (near junction of A140 and A143) on Sunday 28th and Bank Holiday Monday 29th August 2011.

Charles comments “Here, our Stand is likely to be similar in style, but smaller in size and content to the one we had at the recent Suffolk Show. The Show (and hence our Stand) will be open to the public between 9.00am and 7.00pm on both days, and again, if you'd like to help, please contact me.”

The Good News Stand is evangelistic in nature, with the one aim of promoting and celebrating the gospel of Jesus Christ. It has been present since the early 1960's at the annual Suffolk Show, but late last year there was a change in constitution to allow to operation at other venues.
