Hip Hop concert for Christian Aid

Several Ipswich churches are running fund arising events during Christian Aid Week (starting16 May). Ipswich International Church, for example, is putting on a concert with hip hop artists and others.

Ipswich churches have raised considerable sums of money for Christian Aid's general funds over the years, supporting churches and other organisations. More recently money has also been given specifically for a Christian Aid project in Burkina Faso involving the Evangelical Church in that area.

Moira Kleissner, who is Secretary of the Ipswich Christian Aid Committee, writes “When my husband and I worked as missionaries in West Africa we were friendly with a couple who worked in Burkina Faso and heard about the problems with climate change there and how people are trying to farm. This year there a lot of things are happening to raise money to help our brothers and sisters in need throughout the world.”

A good example is the concert being run by The Ipswich International Church with hip hop artists and others. It looks like it will be a good evening!
