Finding Space....
Finding space to reflect can be difficult when all our lives are so busy. Quiet days and retreats are the ideal refreshment to focus on what is important in our spiritual lives.
‘Some 40 years ago, I made the discovery that God speaks very powerfully to our souls in the quiet and silence,’ says Canon Sylvia Chapman, retired priest and member of the Diocesan Spirituality Group. ‘For me it was like finding treasure in this hurry-sick world where speed, noise and goals rule supreme. I suppose I should not be surprised. Psalm 46 asks us to ‘be still and know that I am God’.
Quiet days and retreats are there for us to discover the truth of God’s presence for ourselves.’
Suffolk is fortunate in having an excellent selection of quiet days and retreats available.
